Don't Worry, Be Happy

Updated: May 7, 2021

I thought it was important to get on here and post another entry this week because it seems that all I see every day is hatred towards people of different opinions with arguments pertaining to political differences or religious differences or the fact that a person is different in general. As a child of God, I am reminded to not to worry, but to be happy. The gospel says in Philippians 4:6-7 to not to be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. We are also reminded to not to worry in John 14:1 when it instructs us this: Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. Also in 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

We need to stop worrying about the things that we cannot change and focus on what God has called us to focus on. Telling others about his son Jesus and the sacrifice on the cross for our sins and that he was resurrected 3 days later, and that he is still alive today to help with all our worries and needs. With everything that is going on around me today, I don’t want to get caught up in things that take me away from my purpose and I pray that you will not either. Take worry out and let God in. Let God control your mindset. Pray for one another instead of causing uproar. If we as believers would actually pray without ceasing, this world would be turned upside down for the right reasons!

I have come to the realization that I need to be happy of who I am and not what I am not. Be happy that I am a born-again believer and I am guaranteed a place in heaven. Be happy that he is all that I need. Be happy that when I feel that I am out of control, He is always in control. Isaiah 41:10 says: So, do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. See even if you think that you can’t, God can!

We are all different but we are all loved by Jesus the same way, the only thing different is that some choose to allow him to lead their lives and some choose to lead their own lives without relying on him to get them through this thing called life. Remember that we change but He never does! I am thankful that I can not worry but be happy because I have his guidance when the world around me is chaos. If you want him too, just ask him, he’s already near and waiting.

God Bless and Don’t Forget YOU ARE LOVED!
